Beccy is a singing teacher, singer-songwriter and professional performer who has been making her statement on the Brighton music scene for over half a decade.
Her passion for music was recognised from an early age. This was fully realised in her first professional performance with the Live 07’ cast at the O2 Arena when she was only 14 years old.
Born and raised in sunny Southend-On-Sea, Beccy developed her love of being on the stage through local musical theatre shows. A highlight from this chapter was performing at the Southend Jazz Festival in 2011. It was also during this time that Beccy gained her Grade 8 ABRSM qualification in vocals.
Beccy then moved to Brighton to study music at the British Institute of Modern Music, where she achieved a Bachelor of Arts qualification. It was through her studies that she became passionate about vocal harmony and developed her career as a backing vocalist.
Her portfolio of work includes being featured on Brighton Singer songwriter, Della Lupa, ‘s ‘Lost for the Long Term’ EP and accompanying her on the Arts Council funded Lost for the Long Term UK tour. She has also worked with other Sussex based artists including Kev Minney and Joel White on recordings and live performances.
Her passion for harmony also led her to join and co-develop the vintage harmony trio Blaker and the Bombshells, which launched in the Spring of 2017. Their performance portfolio includes the Brighton Dome; the ever popular Firle Vintage Weekend; and a collaboration with Sony Xperia at the 2017 UEFA Champions league final welcome party.
Over the past year, Beccy has refocused on further study on vocal technique, performance and songwriting and has been wanting to share this knowledge with others to assist in their musical journeys and careers. She hopes to be able to share this with you too!
Outside music, Beccy is enthused by yoga, Hair & Beauty and all things dog related!
